Taxi driver licence in Finland
From 1 November 2026, every new taxi driver in Finland must complete a 21-hour training course before the taxi driver exam. Our training is online and costs 259 €, with everything included.
Our training is in Finnish. The official exam is in Finnish or Swedish. Read the language note below before you register.
How to get the licence
- Complete the 21-hour taxi driver training.
- Pass the taxi driver exam at a service point of Traficom's service provider: 60 questions in 45 minutes. You need at least 45 correct answers and the minimum number in each topic.
- Apply for the taxi driver licence from Traficom when you also meet the other conditions.
The exam and licence fees are paid separately to Traficom.
Language
The official taxi driver exam is only in Finnish or Swedish. There is no exam in English. Our training is taught in Finnish, so you need to read and understand Finnish well.
If you are not sure about your Finnish, try the free practice exam first. It shows the kind of questions and language the real exam uses.
