2. What this notice covers
This notice covers two services: the registration form on taksiajolupa.fi, with which you reserve a place in the queue for the taxi driver training (21 h), the licence renewal training (7 h), the special groups driver training or the taxi business training, and the free practice exam.
3. What data we process
If you do not fill in the form, we do not store data that identifies you through the form.
When you register, we store:
- your name
- your email address, your phone number or both, depending on what you gave
- the training you chose
- your answer to the question how soon you need the licence (now, within 14 days, within 30 days or no hurry), if you answer it, and the grouping based on it
- your queue number
- the wording of the consent, the language and the time you gave it
- the page from which the form was sent
- the campaign code of the link (for example which advertisement you came from), if the page address had one
We do not store your IP address with the form data.
You can start and take the practice exam without giving us your contact details. During the exam the server processes the drawn questions, your answers and your result. To prevent misuse, it also processes a hash of your IP address that changes daily and a hash of a random browser identifier. The IP address itself is not stored for this purpose.
We also store the progress of the exam without identifying data: which question you are on, how many you have answered and the time used. This shows us where exams are interrupted. The basis is legitimate interest, and we keep it for 30 days.
You see your practice exam result after you give your email address and phone number. We store them together with the exam identifier, the score, the language and the campaign code of the link. If you tick the separate consent box, we also store the wording of the consent.
4. Why we use the data and on what basis
We use the registration data to:
- give you a queue number and tell you the start date of the training by email or text message
- group registrants by how soon they need the licence. If you choose the answer Now, we may also tell you about a partner's training that you can start right away. Those who can start later wait for our own training
We do not give your data to a partner without your separate consent. We do not use the data for other marketing.
We use the practice exam data to run the exam, to show you your result, to limit the number of requests and to protect the service. We also look at exam results in aggregate to improve the practice material, without identifying data. The basis for this is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation).
We use the email address and phone number you give with the practice exam to prevent misuse of the service (legitimate interest). We do not use them for marketing. If you give separate consent, we tell you when you can register for the 21-hour training (consent).
The basis for the registration is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation and section 200 of the Finnish Act on Electronic Communications Services). Consent is voluntary. The box is not ticked in advance, and you can use the site without registering.
5. How long we keep the data
Registration data: until you withdraw your consent or until the training has started and we have told you the start date. We delete the data at the latest 24 months after you gave your consent.
Practice exam: the exam and the result 30 days, the browser identifier hash 30 days and the IP address hash 1 day. Contact details given with the practice exam 30 days, or 24 months if you consented to hearing about the training.
6. Who receives and processes the data
We do not sell your data or give it to third parties for marketing. We do not give it to a partner without your separate consent.
Processors: Cloudflare, Inc. delivers the site and stores the form data (Cloudflare Pages and Workers KV). Google Cloud (Firebase, region europe-north1, Finland) runs the practice exam and stores the exam data. We send messages from our own communication services. We give data to authorities only when the law requires it.
7. Transfers outside the EU
Cloudflare may also process data outside the EU. Transfers use the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
8. Cookies and tracking
The site does not set cookies for visitors and does not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only exception is a setting with which the administrator excludes their own visits from the count. The form does not store anything in your browser. The practice exam uses browser storage only to work: language choice, an exam in progress and a random browser identifier. This data is not used for tracking. Cloudflare processes your IP address for technical operation and security.
We count page views ourselves, without cookies and without outside tracking services. For each view we store the time, the page address, the country, the device type (phone or computer), the name of the network owner (for example the telecom operator), whether the request came from a normal browser, and the name of the site you came from, for example a search engine. We do not store your IP address or anything that could identify you or connect different visits. We keep this data for 13 months. The basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)): we want to know whether people find the site.
9. Your rights
You can ask us for:
- access to your data and a copy of it
- correction of incorrect data
- deletion of your data
- restriction of processing
- transfer of your data to another service
- withdrawal of your consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it.
Send your request to [email protected] and tell us the address or number you registered with. We reply within one month. If you think the processing is unlawful, you can complain to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
10. Age limit
The form is meant for people aged 15 or over.
11. Changes
We update this notice when needed. The current version is always on this page.
