Taxi driver refresher training 7 h
From 1 November 2026, renewing a taxi driver licence requires a 7-hour taxi driver refresher course. With us it costs 109 €, everything included.
Who needs the training
The refresher training applies to every taxi driver who renews their licence from 1 November 2026. It does not apply to new drivers, who have their own 21-hour training.
You can apply for renewal at the earliest 6 months before your licence expires. Complete the training before you apply.
What the training covers
The Traficom regulation requires in-depth training on five topics:
- assisting passengers and their safety: recognising the need for help during the whole ride, and respecting the passenger's privacy and personal integrity
- the special needs of different passenger groups: how functional limitations affect the use of taxis
- customer service situations: the service as a whole and respect for the customer
- the driver's rights and duties: social legislation, occupational safety and passenger safety
- traffic safety: a safe driving style that takes the passenger into account
Duration, format and price
The training takes 7 hours. Under the regulation, up to 7 hours of a training can be independent online study, so the refresher training can be done fully online. Each lesson includes exercises that check your learning. The training is in Finnish.
The price is 109 €, everything included (incl. VAT 25.5 % and the Traficom registration fee). For companies 86.85 € + VAT.
